Ted Barnhart brings over eighteen years financial and
investment industry experience to work for BIA Clients.  He
graduated with a BA in Accounting (1990) from Michigan
State University.  His experience includes work with Arthur
Andersen & Company, Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley.  In
addition he spent several years as a Risk-Arbitrage Trader
for both Peters Securities and TJM Institutional Services in
Chicago.

Mr. Barnhart is a strong advocate of the Austrian School of
Economic Thought and is a member of the Ludwig von
Mises Institute which was founded to advance the
scholarship of liberty in the tradition of the Austrian School.  

Ted and his wife live in Elmhurst with their daughter and
son.  He  enjoys coaching youth hockey, baseball and
softball.

Leaders of the Austrian School of Economic Thought have been warning of the inevitable
financial crisis the world is now facing for more than ten years.  As an avid proponent of the
"Austrians" Mr. Barnhart has accordingly been advising and positioning clients for the day of
reckoning for several years.   Unfortunately, providing such advice is often frowned upon  in a
traditional brokerage firm environment.

As such in 2009 Ted Barnhart made the decision to launch Barnhart Investment Advisory.  BIA
enables Mr. Barnhart to provide independent financial and investment advice and management,
free from the conflicts of interest that arise in a brokerage firm environment.  In addition BIA can
deliver advice to the client in the format in which the client desires including:

  •   Portfolio and  investment management
  •   One time written analysis and  strategic overview (set fee based on hourly rate)
  •   On going portfolio and investment consulting  (set fee based on hourly rate)
